Carers rights day

About Carers Rights Day

BwD Carers Service, Kingsway

Please call the office at 01254 688440 to confirm your attendance

This year’s Carers Rights Day is on Friday 25th November 2016.   Take part and help carers get the information and advice they need.

Having the right information at the right time can make a huge difference when you are looking after someone.

Each year we hold Carers Rights Day to bring organisations across the UK together to help carers in their local community know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.

Do you know your rights?  98% of carers are unaware of the rights they have as a carer.  Come to our information event and protect your rights.  There will be a key note speech from Doug Feery, Barrister and expert in the following Laws who will talk about the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Human Rights Act.

Stalls include:

Forbes Solicitors

Social Services (Finance)

Self-Directed Support (personal budgets and direct payments)

Welfare Benefits
