If you are a carer in Blackburn with Darwen then this website is for you. We are a local charity supporting the work of unpaid carers in the Blackburn with Darwen and It aims to provide you with relevant and accurate information about all aspects of your caring role, and keep you up-to-date with the free services and events we are offering.
Do you look after a family member, partner, friend or neighbour?
Do you care for someone on a voluntary basis?
Do you care for someone full time or perhaps just do thier shopping?
If this sounds like you, we are here to help.
We do this through a range of services including a sympathetic carers support telephone line, a team of Carers Support Officers, and a variety of workshops, training and events.

The Proactive Carers Course aims to improve the quality of life for Carers and the people they care for. The course includes 5 modules:
The Proactive Carer
Change Works
Better Communication
for Carers
Increasing Self-Esteem
and Confidence
Assertiveness and Problem
Solving Skills for Carers
Carers can attend either an evening or daytime session.
Monday - 6:45pm - 9pm
Wednesday - 12:45pm - 3pm
