DESCRIPTION:This is a FOUR week project \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis is an opportunity to get involved in a project that is growing from grassroots to serve the community of Blackburn.  The Wild Life Trust have taken over the derelict greenhouses at Witton Park and are transforming this into a space to grow vegetables\, plants and flowers to improve the environment and the health and wellbeing of participants. \n\n\n\nThis project will be indoors in the greenhouse\, learning about nature and the environment\, you will be hands on helping bring the greenhouses to life and create a fantastic space.  There are also some lovely walks that if you wish you will be able to take part in. \n\n\n\nSo why not try something new and meet some lovely people\, take time out and make new friends\, giving something back to the community. A six-week course looking at practical and emotional \n\n\n\nissues around the ending of a caring role. Relaxation\, practical work\, volunteering\, finances and benefits plus much more. \n\n\n\nHOW WILL THE COURSE HELP? Engaging carers to open up about the difficulties associated with the ending of a caring role and looking collectively. To find strategies to help the carer to move forward and establish a life of their own. It is important that you are available for all 6 sessions.

DESCRIPTION:Sewing is fast becoming the must have skill whether it’s for mending clothes and recycling (doing your bit for the environment) or being able to make up garments at a low cost.  Learning this skill can be useful in so many ways.  The Sewing Class is a place where you can brush up your skills and work on different projects\, our lovely tutor has a wealth of experience. Come and learn\, make friends and develop your sewing skills\, whether you already have some or you want to learn. £2 per session pay for a block of 6 for just £6 at a reduced rate.  Sewing machines provided.
