Yasmin Khalil
Head of Services
I have been working for the Carers Service since 2009. I initially started as a learning disabilities carers advisor. I later moved into a generic advisors role supporting carers with different caring roles. In 2019 I retrained as a benefits advisor supporting carers to complete their benefits forms. Since 2023 I have been managing the advisors team. The knowledge and experience I have gained throughout the years both professionally and personally has enabled me to support and empower carers, which has been very rewarding. I am bilingual and speak Punjabi & Urdu.
I have a busy life with work and my own caring responsibilities so when I get the chance I try to relax as much as I can.

I am really happy to be working for a charity that strives to make such a difference, caring can be so difficult at times so to be able to support carers in such a variety of ways is amazing.
I have 3 children, a lot of pets and am a qualified counsellor but when I am not working or busy at home I enjoy walking with our dogs, playing badminton, camping or occasionally open water swimming, although not in winter!
