It comforts me knowing that someone is there for the carer. Caring for a loved one can be one of the most isolative situations. I’m glad the carers can share their problems with us and not face them alone.
My spare time is taken up by baking cakes, watching boxsets and spending time with my daughter and family.

Older Peoples Carer Advisor
I’ve worked with and supported older people for many years and I find it so satisfying. My aim always is to support, inform, advise, and advocate for a carer and to provide empathy. I also feel that it is important to try to support older people to sustain their independence. And if I have managed to be able to do this – this is my reward!
I just love my grandchildren, I have two wonderful granddaughters who I look after in my spare time – it keeps me on my toes!
Currently some of my time at the service is spent as a generic carers adviser but I also work with the Young Adult Carers.
