Asian Carers Group

  • Raise awareness and break barriers surrounding Asian carers 
  • Help Asian carers with English, so they can express their needs and concerns
  • Language support and Urdu speaking group
  • Provide information regarding what’s available to help locally
  • Enjoys events and outings

Dementia Café

  • Support, activities and fun for carers and their loved ones living with dementia  
  • Offer information and advice  
  • A chance to relax, socialise and meet new people  

Dementia Peer Support Group

  • For carers who look after someone diagnosed with dementia  
  • Advice and tips on how to look after someone with dementia as well as your own mental health and wellbeing 
  • Guest speakers 

Please note this groups is for carers only.  People living with dementia are welcome to attend our Dementia Café

CASH Group (Care, Advice, Support, Help)

  • A support group for the loved ones of people who use drugs or alcohol 
  • Information on drugs and their effects, recovery support options, how to support your loved one without enabling their use
  • Confidential and non-judgemental

Young Adult Carer Group

  • Support for carers aged 16 – 25
  • Provides help with wellbeing, education and training, fun activities and trips
  • Members can make friends and support each other

Walking Group

For carers who would like to get out and about and enjoy some exercise.

Transport is provided from Kingsway

Parent Carers Group

  • For parent carers and carers of adults with a learning disability  
  • Helps to raise the awareness of local supports and services that are available to families 

Carers are welcome to bring the child or person they care for

Mental Health Group

Please contact us if you would like to attend a support group for carers of people with mental health diagnoses. We are currently reviewing this and would love to hear from you.

Sewing Group

  • Come along and have fun if you are interested in making your own garments 
  • Learn how to set up a sewing machine and how to take measurements 
  • Learn about different seams and stitches 
  • Pattern cutting, pinning, buttonholes, zips, hemming and using interfacing 

Craft Group

  • Therapeutic arts for all carers
  • Suitable for all levels of artistic ability
  • Take part in a variety of craft projects

For carers who would like group support in any ‘type’ of caring role
