This report reflects another year of supporting unpaid carers across our borough, recognising the invaluable contribution they make every day to family members, friends and the wider community.
Throughout the year, our team has continued to provide high-quality information, advice, emotional support and wellbeing opportunities to help carers navigate the challenges of their caring roles. We have worked closely with our partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector to ensure carers receive timely support and are recognised as equal partners in care.
Demand for our services continues to grow, demonstrating both the increasing number of people taking on caring responsibilities and the importance of accessible, person-centred support. We remain committed to listening to carers, responding to their changing needs and developing services that promote health, wellbeing and resilience.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff, volunteers, trustees, commissioners, partners and funders. Most importantly, we thank every unpaid carer who has trusted us to support them. Your resilience, compassion and commitment inspire everything we do.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on ensuring that every unpaid carer in Blackburn with Darwen feels recognised, valued and supported to maintain their own wellbeing alongside their caring role.
